Upon researching her target audience, I compiled a color palette that balances more muted tones with a little bit of boldness. Teal was chosen as the main color, as it conveys trust and is a soothing color, and purple was chosen as the secondary color in order to lean into her uniqueness as a female lawyer in these fields. These two colors are at home in the bold and colorful aesthetic of Pheonix, but both can be balanced with the muted versions of these shades, to convey a more serious tone when needed. For the logo mark, I created the interlocking script D and L and brought the tail of the L around to create a circle resembling the copyright mark, to represent her trademark services. This was enclosed in a stamp/seal outline to evoke her estate-planning services. And in order to elevate the brand, I created a custom Damask-style repeating pattern with her submark at the center of each element. When we combined the logo, letterhead, business cards, and email signature, the result is a sophisticated but understated brand with a subtle feminine flair.
